Dr. Marten's x atmos: A clash of modernity and tradition

A clash of modernity and tradition: Dr. Marten’s and atmos collaborate to bring forth renditions of two iconic silhouettes, the 1461 and the Utilitarian Combs Tech boot.

The 1461 shoe has been an icon since its launch almost 60 years ago, and continues to be the choice shoe of the counter culture kids. This version features a smooth black leather upper with bold pops of color to signify that atmos touch. Blue and pink hiker-style laces replace the traditional lacing to give additional detailing. The tongue features exposed foam padding while the outsole is more transparent than usual. The shoe is finished with bright stripes and co-branding on the heel. Just like time - this silhouette is never standing still.

The Utilitarian Combs Tech Boot, a style barely remixed, gets used for a new bold statement. This model’s upper features a combination of smooth black leather and recycled super knit - while atmos signature colors hit the laces and tongue to add a pop. Dual branding, in the form of clear bubble patches, coats  the tongue. While a similar clock touch, to 1461, gets added on the heel to represent all the time zones of atmos locations.

The two shoes represent timelessness, in a bold way. To coincide with the launch we linked up with photographers @marcus.branch and @phobymo to have them answer the question, "What does timeless mean to you?"
