Meet the Collector: Stephanie

As a part of our Thrill of the Hunt series, we launched an interactive campaign - that allows users to show off their collections. Meet Stephanie Quinones, a collector for 7+ years and Philadelphia native - whose love for sneakers started at a young age from her older brother, and her collection has grown to surpass his.

WHAT IS YOUR EARLIEST SNEAKER MEMORY?

My earliest memory was in 2008. I was 14 and hung out with my oldest brother Luis looking for Air Jordan 6 Retro 'Carmine'. It was springtime, so it was a nice day out. We search around Philadelphia for about 2 hours until we finally found them.

He was the one that got me into collecting sneakers.

WHAT SNEAKERS ARE CURRENTLY IN YOUR ROTATION?

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE SNEAKERS IN YOUR COLLECTION?

My favorite sneaker is Nike KD 7 'Aunt Pearl.' This sneaker means a lot to me because I waited in line for hours to get them to walk the Susan G. Komen Philadelphia with my mother, who had beaten breast cancer.

WHAT'S SOME ADVICE THAT YOU WOULD GIVE TO A NEW COLLECTOR?

My tip for a new collector would be to never buy sneakers just because of the hype. Buy them because you want them, and ultimately because you like them. Also - you should always make sure you keep your collection clean. Brands like Jason Markk have a good product for you to make sure that your kicks stay fresh. Lastly, and most t have fun with your styles.

WHAT STYLES ARE YOU CURRENTLY FEELING ON THE SITE?

Adidas NMD HU 'Pink'- "The adidas NMD is one of my favorite silhouettes from the brand. The color options and comfortability are unmatched. This colorway would be perfect because pink is my favorite color."

atmos USA Valentines Day Bear Tee - "The quality of atmos apparel is always great. The t-shirts are soft and fit very well. Of course, I would need to have a style from the brand in mystery picks because I always want to dress to impress."

Nike Blazer - "The Nike Blazer is one of my favorite shoes - they fit well and go with pretty much anything. The website has many color options to choose from this model."

Air Max 97 'Flash Crimson' - "The Air Max 97 is a classic, and you can go wrong with this model. This color-way reimagines this timeless shoe with some extra flair - which makes it perfect for me."
