Nike realized the future way back in 1987 when they introduced the Air Max 1 to the world. A silhouette that showcased Nike Air technology through the window of the sole. Designer Tinker Hatfield got his inspiration for the design of the AM 1 during a trip to Paris, while visiting the Pompidou Centre, the famous center known for its inside-out design.
